Account

How do I create an account?

Download AstroDating from Google Play or visit astrodatingapp.com. Sign up with your email, Google, or Facebook account (Apple Sign-In is available on iOS and web). You'll need to enter your birth date, time, and location to generate your natal chart.

Can I change my birth time after signing up?

Yes. Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Birth Details. Note that changing your birth time will recalculate your entire natal chart and may change your compatibility scores with other users.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app, or visit astrodatingapp.com/account/delete. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Matching

How is compatibility calculated?

We use real synastry — the astrological practice of comparing two birth charts. We analyze aspects between your planets and theirs (conjunctions, trines, squares, etc.) across key relationship houses to generate an overall compatibility score.

Why don't I see many matches?

Try expanding your discovery preferences: increase the distance range, widen the age range, or lower the minimum compatibility threshold. You can also remove specific zodiac sign or element filters.

Billing & Subscriptions

How do I manage my subscription?

It depends on where you subscribed. On Android, manage through Google Play subscriptions settings. On the web, go to Settings > Billing in the web app to access your Stripe billing portal where you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.

Can I get a refund?

For Google Play subscriptions, refunds are handled by Google according to their policies. For web (Stripe) subscriptions, contact our support team through the contact form. We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Will my subscription auto-renew?

Yes. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can cancel at any time from Google Play settings (Android) or from the billing page on the web app.

How do I use a promo code?

On Android, go to the Plans screen and enter your promo code in the promo field before selecting a plan. On the web, enter the code on the checkout page. Promo codes apply discounts or bonus months depending on the campaign.

Safety

How do I report a user?

Tap the three-dot menu on any profile or in a chat conversation, then select 'Report'. Choose a reason and add details. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours.

How do I block someone?

Tap the three-dot menu on their profile or in your chat, then select 'Block'. They won't be able to see your profile or contact you, and they won't be notified.

Is my location shared with other users?

Only your approximate distance is shown (e.g., '3 miles away'). Your exact coordinates are never visible to other users.

Do I need to know my exact birth time?

For the most accurate chart, yes. Your birth time determines your rising sign (ascendant) and house placements, which significantly affect compatibility scores. If you don't know your exact time, you can enter an approximate time — but your chart and scores will be less precise.

What's the difference between sun sign and full chart compatibility?

Sun sign compatibility only considers one planet. Full chart compatibility (synastry) analyzes all planetary placements, aspects, and house overlays between two charts — giving a much more nuanced and accurate picture of relationship dynamics.

Are the horoscopes personalized?

Yes. Unlike generic horoscopes based only on your sun sign, our horoscopes are calculated from your full natal chart, including transits to your moon, rising, Venus, and other key placements.

Web App

Can I use AstroDating on my computer?

Yes! Visit app.astrodatingapp.com to access the full web app. You can browse profiles, chat with matches, view your natal chart, and manage your subscription — all from your browser.

Can I install the web app on my phone?

Yes. Visit astrodatingapp.com in your mobile browser, then tap 'Add to Home Screen' (or the install prompt). The app will appear as an icon on your home screen and open in full-screen mode, just like a native app.

Is my data synced between the app and the web?

Yes. Your profile, matches, messages, and subscription are all synced in real time. You can switch between the mobile app and web app seamlessly.
